Former Glory is approached by clients who would like a piece of tired furniture updating.
Bespoke pieces can be created from your existing items or we can source a particular piece of furniture or lampshade to upcycle to suit your personal style.
Reupholstered Chair
This occassional chair was reupholstered for a client in Derbyshire. Ann's chair had been given to her by a neighbour who had since passed away. She wanted a more contemporary look to work in her space at home.
The upholstery fabric was chosen from samples from Camira. Ann chose Sting, Graphite, a fabric made from Nettle leaves. The legs were glossed up and studding added to the back section of the chair.
Restored Chair
This occassional chair was completely restored structurally and reupholstered for a client in South Manchester.
The joints were loose and the frame was in a very poor state and needed to be be stripped back and refinished.
The client provided the fabric for the reupholstery, she chose a fabric and pattern that fitted in with the style of her room.
ReLoved Ottoman
This Ottoman was commissioned for a client in Stockport, to give her sister as a birthday present.
She liked the gold edge but didn't want to keep the pink colour to the structure.
The vintage floral fabric was chosen as a starting point then a colour for the base was chosen towork with the fabric. A duck egg colour was chosen and the gold was reapplied to the edges and interior.

Lampshades
Suzannas @ Little Scotland, Bolton
Seven very large lampshades were created to match with the bespoke upholstery made by Den Furniture in Manchester.
The same tartan upholstery fabric was used on the inside of the 70cm diameter lampshades, a cream fabric was chosen specifically to match in with the wall lights.

A run of lampshades were commissioned for the pop up shop in Trafford Centre, Manchester.
The shades were made with black fabric exterior and gold interior with a gold fringe trim.
